Nigerian International, Ikechukwu Uche will not be available for his country’s remaining World Cup qualifying matches after their fateful 2-2 draw with Tunisia in Abuja, Nigeria penultimate week.
His Spanish club, Real Zaragoza were thrashed 4-1 by Sevilla on Saturday-night, but to make things even worse the promoted club also lost their newly acquired attacker Ike Uche, who suffered a knee-injury. Doctors have confirmed that Uche won’t be able to play for eight months.
The Nigerian forward, who left Getafe this summer to join Zaragoza, tore his knee ligament in the match against Sevilla.
The 25-year-old Uche faces a surgery and a long recovery period. Therefore, the younger brother of Almeria-player Kalu Uche is out for the rest of the season.
