NPL Board in Charge of players, officials’ medical bills

Plans have been concluded for the Nigerian Premier League Board to take over payment of all the medical bills of premier league players and officials of the 20 clubs in the country.

The chairman of the Board, Chief Oyuki Obaseki made the announcement at the official commissioning of the board’s new corporate Headquarters in Abuja.


He added that the programme which took effect from the 2009/2010 league season will take care of 30 players and 10 officials from each club, staff and board members of the Nigeria Premier League.


The chairman said that Marina Medical Services Limited as the exclusive healthcare provider to the Nigeria Premier League.


Chief Obaseki also said that from next season, the board intends distributing branded balls to the clubs adding that sponsors are welcome.
