U-17 Star Striker Targets Barcelona, England

Costa Rica attacking pearl, Joel Campell says he is targeting getting into the big league soon and would like to join Spanish giant, Barcelona.

The 17  year old striker is very committed to seeing his career on the rise stressing that it has been his dream to join the top League in Europe and would not give up until his dreams come through.

He told africansportsdigest.com in Enugu that the FIFA U-17 Championship is an eye opener to him and an avenue for him to improve on his skills and commitment to the game.

He said: “My dream is to play in a good team in a good league especially England or Spain will be my best choice.

“I’ll love to play in a team or club like Barcelona in Spain or any club in England. It has been my dream to play professional football. All my life I’ve been dreaming of playing in a big league, this is why I keep saying that if am given opportunity to play in Spain I’ll choose Barcelona, it’s my dream team,” Campbell added.

He added that he will surely get the opening to play professional football in his career; hence he needs to do his bit and wait for the desired chance.

On the heavy loss to Turkey he quipped: “That match was a tough game for us, the Turkish defence was very tough for us and they did not give us any space to operate. but that chapter is closed, we’re focusing on the future with the possibility of qualifying. We want to beat Burkina Faso and qualify.”
