Eaglets Set For Korea Karate

Golden Eaglets are challenging their opponents with goals feast as they look forward to sending Korea packing in the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, tagged Nigeria 2009.

Sani Emmanuel, the super sub, who netted two goals in their last match against New Zealand when he came on from the bench in the second half of the game, said that he can assure Nigerians that they are set for any challenge.

“As the defending champions all eyes are on us,” he told africansportsdigest.com in Calabar. “The historical aspect of ancient Clalabr can not be forgotten. We will get to the semi-finals and beat Korea to get there, all is set for the victory, and we are in good frame of mind.”

Said Sani: “I always want to score against any team.  I don’t see the Korea coming easy but we’ve got our strategy and we have to win the match. The fans in Calabar are so wonderful and we don’t want to disappoint them.”

The Eaglets Coach, John Obuh has announced that they will employ another strategy against the Korea hence Nigeria should not expect to see the same style of play used against the New Zealanders.

“I’ve watched the video of their matches, and now do know that they do not play same style always. Therefore, we have to counter them in all departments. This will be our weapon, staying on in the match till the last breath, since they can pop up goal at any time.”

The Monday game will be the cynosure of all eyes, the major airline plying the Calabar route, Arik was fully booked on Sunday and Mo0nday morning from Lagos and Abuja.
