AHEAD NATIONS CUP: Angola Weather Scares African Teams

Most of the teams for the Nations Cup are really complaining about  the climate in Angola saying that during this period  heat and humidity will be the bane of their players.

Algeria national team head coach, Rabah Saadane has even complained bitterly about the weather. During a press conference on December 16, the  coach expressed his worry about the climatic conditions which the team will face during the CAN.

“Definitely the period would not be friendly with my players. We’ll have to battle the humidity and the unfriendly weather condition, and most North African teams and others will face this bad condition,” Saadane said.

He however added that despite these problems they will do their utmost best to win their matches.

“Our objective is to play match by match by trying to win the maximum possible matches». The main objective is to stabilize the national team to be able to qualify for the next two editions of the CAN and the World Cup and to work on the long term”, he added

“We will play in a competition where it is imperative for us to play well because it is for us an important stage before the World Cup. Our objective is to negotiate our matches well and to play as many matches as possible”

Other coaches have shared such sentiment about the weather, but also insist that it is a competition they must strive to win.

The Algerian team will cam preparatory to the Championship at Castellet, in the South East of France starting from December 26 and fly to Angola on January 7.
