The African football confederation, CAF and its partner adidas are due to unveil the new official ball for African football on Tuesday, December 22. The ceremony will take place at 11:00 am Cairo local time, at the main headquarters of CAF in 6th of October city.
The new ball will replace the current ball, which appeared for the first time at the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana 2008.
Wawa Aba was the first ever official ball designed for CAF to reflect the African culture. The colorful ball made a huge impression over the past two years as a result of its revolutionary image.
The new ball will replace the Wawa Aba starting from the year 2010 and the Orange Africa cup of Nations will be the first official CAF competition where the ball will make its appearance.
