Bosingwa Out, Essien Prays to Make World Cup

While Michael Essien is contemplating if his Knee injury would allow him play at the World Cup in South African, his Chelsea teammate and Portugal defender Jose Bosingwa is out for the rest of the season.

Bosingwa, who copped a knee injury like Essien will miss the World Cup, the English premiership club confirmed on Friday.

The fullback had been back in light training after surgery but has now been told he needs another operation.

The news is a further blow to Chelsea’s hopes of winning a Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League treble in the wake of the loss of first-choice goalkeeper Petr Cech, who will be sidelined for a further two weeks at least with a torn calf muscle.

Essien told a closed friend recently that he is looking forward to getting better ahead of the World Cup.He is really worried about the knee problem

“I don’t know what to do I want to be at the World Cup and also help my club realize it dreams this season,” Essien was quoted by the friend.

Chelsea are also currently without two other first-choice players, Michael Essien (knee) and Ashley Cole (broken ankle).
